PACKINGTON ISLINGTON

This project was very challenging for Castle Point Gas & Heating due to the building being built in the late 60s and of the same design as the infamous Ronan Point in Canning Town which collapsed due to a gas explosion.
All gas supplies to 300 flats had to be replaced with iron barrel and tested.
all gas appliances had to be fitted with FSDs and a mechanical gas solenoid valve fitted to each incoming service to the flats.
Due to the structure of the building all drilling to walls had to be kept to a minimum.

BRODICK HOUSE

This project involved a lot of compliance measures to make sure we followed industry standards adequately. BENFLEET SCHOOL

Castle Point Gas and Heating during the 6 weeks summer holidays removed 3 old cast iron boilers and coal bunker from the basement boiler room.these had to be broken down and removed in pieces due to access and installed 3 new condensing boilers on standing jigs, plate transfer unit, pumps,pressureization unit, all new pipework and all controlled by mbus system.

Every classroom had to be lined with protection to remove the old barrel pipework and radiators ready for the new radiators and pipework.

the heating pipework for each classroom had to be fitting in the loft space using map press fitting and then silver foil lagged.

each classroom was given full control of their heating demands using a room thermostat.

All these works finished ahead of schedule with no disruption to the school.

JOHN WILSON STREET

While working on this project, we were very poignant about the materials and footprint of our work. We worked together with the client in order to manage their expectations and deliver the kind of results they desired. The works involved removing a old oil fired commercial boiler plant room and tanks.
then build a new boiler room between the two buildings to serve 80 flats.
A new district heating supply was then run to each flat with new Worcester Bosch Heat Interface Units.
each flat could then be remote monitored through the BMS.

INGATESTONE ALMSHOUSE

We took this project on after being approached by the Petra Trust when they asked us to give them advise on a existing boiler room they had installed which was giving them lots of issues.

We found that the boiler rooms where in a very sorry state and poorly designed.

working with the Petre Trust we have now brought these boiler rooms up to a reliable standard with added protection of remote monitoring and heating and hot water back up.

WOOLWICH DOCKYARD

Castle Point Gas and Heating worked closely with greenwich council on this contract to replace the old 1970s communal heating systems to 450 properties.This involved building new boiler rooms to each tower block and new communal pipework suppling all 450 flats.
new heating systems(radiators,Heat interface units and pipework)to all flats and houses giving the tenants full control over their heating and hot water needs.
Fitting this new system helped reduce greenwich councils carbon foot print and also gave then remote monitoring of each flat.
